Founded in 1982, Backmuir Trading is situated 2 miles from Keith. We operate farms in the Keith and Oldmeldrum area that produce Cereals on top of running a herd of Commercial Suckler cows along with a herd of Pure Luings.

We are also livestock traders (Backmuir Livestock), buying and selling both Cattle and Sheep from farm to farm while also supplying major meat companies with Prime and Cull Animals.

Biomass is a new venture for the company and a step in the right direction on reducing our carbon footprint, something that we take very seriously here at Backmuir.
